Default The most important question after the show ends.

even after the show ends...I will have one huge question left over that I need to be answered.

What was the original story/answer/meaning/ending ?

After being picked up quickly for several seasons...the show has changed from it's original idea. To keep the seasons coming, to stretch it out for ABC and to change the stories and answers from things that internet fans figured out (or got too close too) the writers had to change the show along the way.... altering the originally planned answers and storylines...

I NEED to know the original...the way it was supposed to go...
will they ever tell us ?
I don't see why not after it has ended ?

I know that the men behind the curtain have said that the ending has always been intact... they may have added content to the middle of the story, but nothing will be changed when it comes to the end of the rainbow.

They will never answer this.
And does it really matter in the end? Why does everyone think that making the story up on day 1 is better than coming up with new stuff? New ideas pop up and are inserted into the show. I don't think stuff like Dharma was planned from the beginning and most of it turned out to be awesome.

Yeah, agree with IchigoNL. does it matter in the end? It's been all about the journey for me from th every beginning.

Having said that though and sort of answering your question, I read somewhere Damon Lindelof said the first season was a "long con" to make us believe it wasn't sci-fi. I'll have to find the source for you.

While I’m sure they’ve added certain things in that weren’t planned from the beginning (which there is nothing wrong with), I think the grand plan has not changed.

And, as said above, if it did does it really matter at this point? Even if they made the entire thing up as they went along, they’ve still proven themselves to be masters at handling it, seeing as the show turned out great and if you rewatch the earlier seasons the foreshadowing is immense.

I think the time travel loop was the main plan for the story when it was first written. The original title for the series was going to be Circle so I assume the time loop was the circle they were going to refer to. But I guess they changed the title as it would become too obvious.
