He was!!!! For like 2 minutes at the very, very end but it was enough!!! Now, I'm wondering if he'll be on next week. I figured ABC would've hyped up the "Special appearance by LOST's Dominic Monaghan" on next week's preview..... but they didn't.

I wouldn't believe it. This is IMDB, you know. His profile said he was going to be on Flash Forward three weeks ago -- which he wasn't. When it comes to IMDB, I've learned to believe it when I see it.

Just saw the preview for next week's Flash Forward. Dom's gonna be all over it!!!! With a girl!!! SHIRTLESS!!!!

Dom has been on Flashforward a few times now. His character, Simon, is a physicist and he is connected with the Lloyd Simcoe character. It seems they feel that they were responsible for 20 million deaths and Lloyd wants to go public with it and Simon doesn't--so they played poker to determine whether they would or not--whoever one the game determined if they talked or not. Lloyd won (slight of hand) despite Simon seeming to be way ahead for most of the hands. So it will be interesting to hear what they have to say when they go live. Whether what they did actually caused the flashforward is still to be discovered but it seems that is what the comment about being responsible is alluding to.

Simon seems to be a rather scary individual. He seduces a girl on a train and tells her that in his flashforward he was choking a man to death and he enjoyed it. He acts weird toward Lloyd's son, he was mysteriously holding a baby's hospital bracelet with Annabelle spelled out on it. He is cocky and sure of himself and wants to get Lloyd back in with the organization he belongs to even though Lloyd said he was thru with them all. So this is a strange character Dom is playing and should give him a nice challenge.

To be perfectly honest, I DON'T like Dom's new character, Simon. I think he is an arrogant, lecherous twerp that uses his incredible talents simply for the fame and publicity. He's even said that the blackout would increase his chances for godhood. And his flash-forward was really scary. He seemed to be disgusted by what he is going to do, and yet enjoy it at the same time. He is indeed a very scary individual -- almost Ben-like in his creepiness.

However, just because I don't like his new character does not mean I don't like DOM. I still love him and I always will. I think this proves what an incredible actor Dom really is -- to play a character that I can't stand and to play it successfully. Maybe it's because I'm so used to seeing him as Merry and Charlie that I'm hoping that a little bit of those characters are going to eventually come out in Simon. But if not, it just proves that Dom can play different types of characters -- even much darker ones. And who knows -- maybe I'll end up liking Simon. There is plenty of time for his character to develop. And I did start out hating Sawyer but ended up loving him by Season 2. Maybe this will turn out to be the very same thing. I'm still holding out hope that Dom's charm and sweetness will shine through in Simon and make him a truly endearing and much-loved character.
